The steps to add your website to Google Search Console

 

Here are the steps to add your website to Google Search Console :

  1. Go to the Google Search Console website : Go to https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome and sign in with your Google account .

     

  2. Add your website : Click the " Add Property " button and enter the URL of your website .


     

  3. Verify ownership : To verify that you own the website , you'll need to choose one of several verification methods . The easiest way is to choose the " HTML tag " method and copy the meta tag provided by Google . 

     


     

    Then , add the meta tag to the header of your website's home page .

    Go to themes
    Edit Html

    Look for <head>

    Then past the code after the <head>

     

    Then click save and return to google search console panel click validate!



  4. Submit your sitemap : Once you've verified ownership, go to the " Sitemaps " section and submit your website's sitemap . This will help Google find all the pages on your website and index them more quickly .

     1: Click on sitemap

    2: Add your sitemap url. " https://www.example.com/sitemap.xml" , replace "example" with your domain name.


     

  5. Explore the Google Search Console features : Once your website is verified , you can start exploring the various features of Google Search Console . These include monitoring your website's performance in search results , identifying and fixing crawl errors , and seeing which keywords are driving traffic to your website .

By adding your website to Google Search Console , you'll be able to monitor and improve your website's performance in Google search results , which can lead to more traffic and higher rankings .
